About Me
Anybody can have an accident: sometimes they are completely unavoidable but other accidents can be caused by somebody else’s negligence. If you have been injured in an accident that was not entirely your fault, then you might be surprised to know that you are entitled to compensation. My new blog is designed to help people like you to understand whether or not they are entitled to receive compensation after a personal injury. I’ll also be throwing in some personal posts as well, but there more for my father to read as he likes to know what his daughter is up to!
I worked full time as a lawyer specialising in personal injury for 17 years, and still work with claims on a part-time basis. Although I am semi-retired, I still feel the need to help people to understand more about their right to make a claim. I decided to start this blog so that I can share my wisdom and advice with as many people as possible, without having to charge them at all for my services. The posts I write never betray the confidences of my previous clients, but they will serve to highlight circumstances that can help other people to claim the compensation that they deserve.
I believe that people should be able to claim for the pain and suffering, medical bills, financial hardship and home adaptations that they need because of the personal injuries that they have experienced. Why should innocent people be left with a significant disadvantage after an accident that they were not responsible for? The compensation that people claim can allow them to continue to have a similar quality of life, even after they have suffered a significant personal injury. On the other hand, it can also allow family members to provide their loved ones with the care that they need if the accident has left them incapacitated. Some family members may even be able to make a claim after the death of their loved one.
The posts which I write for this blog aim to give people an understanding of all of the different types of claims that they may be eligible to make. In fact, the term “personal injuries claim” can actually be used to cover a wide variety of different topics, and not make people actually realise this. That is why thousands of people miss out on their opportunity to make a claim. Did you know that “personal injuries” can include everything from trips to medical malpractice? I hope to post a lot of content about the different types of personal injuries claims that you may be able to make, and give you extra tips on how to approach each different one.
As well as telling you what types of things you can claim for, I hope to be able to include some posts that give people extra information about how to make a successful claim for compensation. Understanding how easy the process can be actually helps to spur some potential claimants into action. On the other hand, knowing more about some of the potential pitfalls can help claimants to overcome the obstacles which stand in front of them when they are making a claim.
